Horizontal Multi-Spool Filament System
thingiverse
Tired of constantly swapping out spools of filament from my single spool holder, I created this horizontal spool system for the Taz 6. Currently, my setup accommodates four spools.\r\n\r\nIt's incredibly straightforward and doesn't require a lot of explanation: Use the single-sided holders at each end, and the double-sided holders in the middle. I attach all the holders to my Taz using M5 x 12mm socket head cap screws and M5 t-slot nuts. \r\n\r\nThe 94mm axle works perfectly for all the spools I currently have on hand, but if you print a lot with narrower spools like Proto-Pasta, there's no reason you can't make shorter axles to accommodate five spools at a time.\r\n\r\nAlso included is the above-mentioned 94mm axle, as well as a simple tab that can be mounted and used as a holder to keep filament organized when a particular spool isn't in use.\r\n\r\nThe double-sided holder *does* require support for the down-facing axle holder, but the mounting holes actually printed better for me without supports.\r\n\r\n[M5 x 12mm screws](http://amzn.to/2rtij3C)\r\n[M5 t-slot nuts] (http://amzn.to/2rt2jP0)
