Horizontal Ledge Rod Support
thingiverse
I designed this horizontal rod support specifically for use in a charcuterie chamber, where it can be used to hang meat for curing or ageing. The design is optimized to accommodate a 14mm diameter rod, roughly equivalent to a half inch in diameter. This type of support could also prove useful to anyone requiring a horizontal rod holder that remains free on a ledge. Due to the unique loft on the rod side, I found it necessary to use supports during printing. When preparing your print sequence, feel free to rotate the model as needed to achieve the desired result. It's worth noting that Fusion 360 exports Y-up by default, which is why the model appears in this orientation. In my experience, the L-shape touching the bed and supports on the cone side only produced satisfactory results.
