Horizontal (8mm) hole calibration (20mm) box

Horizontal (8mm) hole calibration (20mm) box

thingiverse

This test piece evaluates your 3D printer's ability to print horizontal holes. It is designed as a 20x20x10 mm box with an 8mm hole. Use it to assess if you're ready for printing such holes, as the hole is already centered and positioned on the ground plane. Slice at your preferred settings, considering the small part size. I had great results using a worn M8 rod for cleaning up; others have used PLA on an Ultimaker at 225°C, with feed rate of 80mm/s, minimum layer time of 5 seconds, and double walls with 10% line infill.
