Horizon AeroScout 1.1m Servo & Battery tray
prusaprinters
Being newer to RC flying, I crashed my AeroScout hard enough to fracture the wooden servo & battery tray. It features a built-in lap joint for strength when gluing. I originally tried an existing design by TeslaScorpion, but ended up re-designing it from scratch, as it was missing mount points, and ended up being weak where it was to be glued together. As always though, I'm grateful to them for posting their design! 📝 Since the Front piece is 235mm long, I've included a slightly modified version for smaller bed sizes (200mm X 200mm). I recommend printing without top or bottom layers and 40%-50% infill for weight reduction. The original wooden tray is about ~15g, and mine came out about ~22g at 50% infill. Playing with the infill pattern & amount could get it pretty close.Recommended Print Settings:Plastic of your choice. If you fly somewhere hot, I dont' reccomend PLA, but it's what I used.0.2 mm layer heightNO supports needed40% or higher infill0 top/bottom layers
