**This is a replacement DPad for the Retrobit Hori Mini n64 controller, which should lower the risk of mispressing the dpad buttons.** <br /> **Brief Guide for Replacement. It's very important that you do this on a clean workspace** -Remove the six screws on the back of the controller, it's preferable to put these on a magnet of some sort to make sure you don't lose any. -Carefully remove the back panel and place to the side. -Remove two screws from the back of the joystick, make note that these screws should be much shorter than the others for reassembly. -*Carefully remove the following:* +Both board units from the shoulder slots by grabbing the sides of the boards. +Both shoulder buttons, set these to the side. +The cables stop from the top of the controller. +Finally the whole board assembly by grabbing the edges, gently pushing up on the control stick to avoid strain on any cables. **At this point, leave the front face of the controller facing down, otherwise all of your buttons will fall out.** -Peel the patch of silicon off of the buttons. This is held in place with a few pegs, so be mindful not to tear anything. -Gently pick the controller face up and push the old dpad out. -Put the replacement buttons in its place. Make sure to keep them in the same orientation as the print, with the tallest button towards the top. -Slide the printed container over the buttons, the cross in the middle should slide snugly between the buttons to put it in place. <br /> Reverse the order of these steps to reassemble. Make sure you replace all buttons, ensure you don't squish wires, and that the interior is clean. After that, you should have new, individual buttons!
