I am beyond thrilled with the original design and I proudly display my printed masterpiece! However, one of the main reasons I built a Rostock Max v3 was to achieve an impressive tall print volume. To take full advantage of this feature, I cleverly merged two part models into a single model (initial STL file). Noticing that the composite version was smaller than the original prop, I made the decision to scale it up to 11.5 inches (291mm) for maximum impact. Another challenge I encountered with the composite version was the overwhelming number of polygons, an astonishing 250,000+, which caused many programs to struggle, so I skillfully reduced the polygon count by a whopping 60% to approximately 100,000 polygons. Although I haven't printed the revised version yet, it looks remarkably similar when rendered. Happy printing and may you discover new horizons!
