Human: https://www.worldhorsewelfare.org/news/world-horse-welfares-world-horse-trail Hope is discovered as a young filly with her mother in the midst of a large group of other horses, all of whom had been neglected and were brought to Penny Farm, our Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Lancashire. She stands out as a very friendly and placid girl who gets along well with other horses. Hope has been taken to shows where she competed in the rescue class at Equifest in 2017. Her artist, Cheryl Johnson, won a competition to design her. Between April and August, Hope is part of World Horse Welfare's Borough Trail in Windsor and Chelsea. The master sculpture itself was created by acclaimed artist Judy Boyt based on the story of Lucas, a frozen and abandoned foal who was rescued by World Horse Welfare and has flourished into a beautiful sport horse.
