The vacuum cleaner's broken attachment was replaced with a custom-printed part, designed using Sketchup. The 'Follow Me' tool helped create a cylinder shape which was exported as an STL file and printed on a Replicator. For the print settings, 50% fill was used for strength, along with full support and a raft. Some external diameters were increased for added strength. If the part doesn't lock properly, sanding slightly can help. To fit the hose, use soap and water. Improvements suggested include a chamfered edge on the protruding hose barb fitting and four supporting ribs on the exposed section for resistance to lateral forces. This was the user's second successful design using a Makerbot Replicator.
