This is an untested attempt at creating an adapter to enable the attachment of a Hoover CH3000 commercial canister vacuum to any object with a flat surface. The Hoover CH3000 is a compact, lunchbox-sized unit that comes equipped with a shoulder strap. The intended application is to utilize it for dust collection when working with a miniature table saw used for cutting circuit boards and other small objects. It will be attached over the cleanout port on the side of the saw. Dimensions were taken from the crevice attachment. The design isn't an exact match because the pin on the original accessories is tapered at the bottom and sometimes followed by a tab that doesn't appear to serve any functional purpose but may help reinforce the pin. I suspect that this model will work well enough as is, but as I get more experience with 3D design, I may refine it, particularly if it breaks. I plan to attach it to the saw using double-sided tape. Magnetic attachment could be a possible future refinement, but they would need to be quite strong magnets. Update: The printed prototype works as expected and has the same characteristic loose fit as the factory accessories. A future update may have a larger outer diameter for a tighter fit. Planned enhancements include a longer, angled tube so that the hose can be parallel with the printer, but I am a complete novice at 3D modeling.
