Hook for window handle hole

Hook for window handle hole

thingiverse

A window hook for seasonal decorations and similar lightweight objects. This hook is meant to be inserted into the hole for the window opening handle. The spindle cross-section is 7 mm, which seems to be an international standard, so this should fit most windows with such removable handles. With the quadratic spindle being 15 mm long and the rounded part measuring 33 millimeters, the overall length is 77 millimeters, which lets decorations with a bit of depth to be hung on the window without them touching the window pane. I haven't tested the strength, but it'll probably hold at least 0,5-1,0 kilos. The star in the picture weighs about 0,3 kilos, and doesn't even begin to stress the hook. Printing the hook with the hook end pointing to either side should give the most strength. When the hook points up or down there's a definite weak spot at the bends of the hook.
