Having an eight foot tall antenna attached to my car isn't exactly convenient every single time I'm navigating parking garages. Everytime the ground comes into view, that towering structure above me gets into motion and suddenly starts rattling loudly around - a boing noise that never fails to disrupt my drive. Even folding it in seems futile, since as soon as I start moving the thing swings violently around in all directions. This has led me to construct a custom support hook for use alongside some sturdy rope. This ingenious solution not only provides secure anchoring, but keeps my antenna stowed horizontally without a hitch. Note that I deliberately engineered it to be slightly of a snug fit - a tiny bit of additional padding would actually make this setup purr along just as I want.
