Rubber Grommet printed with NinjaFlex, to substitute the original hard plastic part which created noise under certain conditions. Instructions Printing in an UP mini If printing with NinjaFlex on an UP Mini this are the settings I used (printing NinjaFlex on an Up mini was a lot trickier than I thought). Extruder Temp: 259? Quality: Fine Resolution: 0.20mm Fill: Loose Raft: No raft In an UP mini not using those setting produces, well... junk! Story After I had an accident and the whole front was replaced, I kept hearing a strange sound only at about 11000RPM's, they where not able to fine any mechanical issues at the body shop nor at the dealer, everything seemed to be in place, and the noise was tricky to reproduce to say the least but quite annoying. After some trial an error I noticed that it had something to do with the Hood rod, since removing it took care of the sound, the original grommet is made of hard plastic (I suspect some sort of Nylon) and it seems like once removed it breaks and needs to be replaced, maybe they kept the original after replacing the front, any how it seemed hard enough not to grab the rod strongly though creating noise when it vibrated. I looked for a rubber one with not much success and since I had a printer and some NinjaFlex why not make my own? :)
