Hood Locking Mechanism (MB Jeep)
thingiverse
The clearance between chassis and hood is created by printing tolerances, resulting in a gap that needs to be addressed. To lock this mechanism and reduce the gap, a design adjustment is necessary, ensuring the hood remains securely in place during driving. Fixing the issue requires drilling two holes, each 8mm from the front and 30mm from the left or right side. Two M1.6 screws will secure the hood, with the diameter of these screws determined by the desired level of force applied. If the hood is loose, a larger screw size should be chosen; conversely, if it's securely locked, a smaller diameter screw will suffice. By implementing this fix, you can enjoy a more precise and secure fit between the chassis and hood.
