http://www.facebook.com/dickchoworkshop\nTsing Ma Bridge is a major bridge in Hong Kong.[1] It stands as the world's ninth-longest suspension bridge, and was second longest when it first opened.[2] Named after two islands at its ends, Tsing Yi and Ma Wan, the bridge boasts two decks that carry both road and rail traffic. This unique design also makes it the largest suspension bridge of its kind. The main span measures 1,377 metres (4,518 ft) in length and reaches a height of 206 metres (676 ft). Its record-breaking span is the largest to support rail traffic worldwide.\nThe wide bridge deck is 41 metres (135 ft) wide and carries six lanes of automobile traffic, with three lanes running in each direction. The lower level contains two rail tracks and sheltered carriageways for maintenance access and emergency use during severe typhoons that strike Hong Kong, forcing the closure of the bridge deck to traffic.
