Honeycombs
thingiverse
Honeycomb patterns inspired by an inputted image are generated using a 2D array named "data" declared in the attached OpenSCAD script. This array is built with a Python script within the GitHub repository that takes in an image, converts it to grayscale, scales it, and produces data based on various options. Without provided image data, the script generates a random grid of hexagons, allowing for simple use in the Customizer. It's essential to export from OpenSCAD as AMF instead of STL to avoid getting broken edges. To learn more, visit the GitHub page at https://github.com/sluebbert/honeycombs.
