Kit of Honeycomb grids that perfectly fit Godox TT685 speedlights. The kit is made of two grids, one of 18mm depth and the other one of 25mm depth, both can be combined to obtain a grid of 43mm depth. Grids are an essential light modifier that helps to focus the light on small areas without spilling light to the sides. Grids can make much smaller spots than the zoom included in the flash. in the publication pictures where I illuminate a board of 170cm x 100cm by a flash at 2 meters distance. The benefit of grids are evident. Without a grid and even at 200mm flash zoom position, the flash illuminates an area greater than the board. You should also notice that the lighting is not uniform with the fresnel zoom at that extreme zoom position. With the flash at 50mm zoom position the light is uniform but it covers a broader area. With the 18mm grid and the flash at 50mm, the spot is soft and has a radius of about 55cm, with the 25mm grid the radius is about 35cm and with both grids the radius is about 22cm. It is possible to combine more than two of those grids to obtain even smaller spots. The reference lines in the board are 5cm long. In terms of "angle of view", the beam cone has an angle of: 18mm grid: 28deg (equivalent to a 86mm lens) 25mm grid: 14,2 deg (equivalent to a 170mm lens) 18mm grid + 25mm grid: 12.6 deg (equivalent to a 200mm lens) The grids fit perfectly on my Godox TT685s. I have designed the grid to not scratch the flash due to friction between hard plastics when mounting or dismounting. There is room to put self adhesive velvet film or graffer tape on the inner side so only a soft surface is in contact with your flash. The grid holds in position without any velcro or magnets. In order to put the velvet film, look at pictures marked with A, B and C. A: hold the grid at this position and put the self adhesive film on the inner side. B: cut on the red lines. C: fold and your grid should look like this. You should have to use a 22.8cm x 3.5cm velvet film for the big grid and a 22.8cm x 2.5cm for the small grid. Godox TT600 and V860 speedlight are supposed to have the same form factor as the TT685 and the grid should fit perfectly. . Godox has copied canon design, so it should fit canon 568EX and 568EX-2. Yongnuo has also copied canon design, and it would also fit YN 865 and YN 568 (the same shape, but they do not have the small curved shape con the center of the top side). I have only checked the grids with TT685 since I do not have the others. I would be very grateful if you could publish your photos made with this grids.
