Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant - Chunky Handles
thingiverse
Chunky throttle handles for the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant. **UPDATE**: April 2 '21 - The left hand skewed offset handle had a modeling error that I never detected. I also never test printed it originally, but have since tried the area of the original error. It didn't fail for me but has for others. I've fixed the model error and updated the STL here. The "Short" model originally designed for use in place of the stock throttle handles for "simple/basic" twin engine models (i.e. models that don't require additional channels for mixture or prop speed controls). Great for twin jet or "throttle only" prop aircraft. The handle grips are high enough to clear the Bravo's stock unused channel covers as well as the [Flapmodster](https://www.freesimstuff.com/) flap detent add-on. The straight arm models fit comfortably between the standard speed brake and flap handles on axes 1 and 6 in a twin engine arrangement. The grips are just over 1.5 inches for a nice hefty feel. Updated handle models support additional power management configurations. Handle version file info: ====== "Short" ------- `chunky-handle-short.stl` The original short model. This will clear the slot covers and FlapModster detent cover. No right or left, they are mirrors of each other. Print 2. "Tall" ---- `chunky-handle-tall.stl` The original tall version. About as high as the stock throttle handle. No right or left, they are mirrors of each other. Print 2. "Extra Tall" ---- `chunky-handle-extra-tall.stl` Extra tall version. This will clear over the top of the prop speed handle. Use these for simple (middle 2 channels) or complex (left 2 channels) twin. No right or left, they are mirrors of each other. Print 2. "Tall Angled Arm" ---- `chunky-handle-tall-angled-arm.stl` Same height and grip position as the "tall" version, but with angled arms. No right or left, they are mirrors of each other. Print 2. "Tall Offset" ---- `chunky-handle-tall-offset-lh.stl` `chunky-handle-tall-offset-rh.stl` Offset variation of the "Tall". Same height but the grips are offset to the side to avoid hitting the prop speed handle. Use these on the left 2 channels for a complex twin with prop and mixture levers. Separate left engine (LH) and right engine (RH) handles. "Tall Skewed" ---- `chunky-handle-tall-scewed-lh.stl` `chunky-handle-tall-scewed-rh.stl` (These aren't pictured.) Alternative version of the "tall-offset" with the arms meeting the grips in the middle. Use these on the left 2 channels for a complex twin. Separate left engine (LH) and right engine (RH) handles. *I didn't test print this variation* More Info ==== See printing notes for best results. Note that I printed on a CR6-SE (not available in the model list yet). [See the video for more.](https://youtu.be/PGzfMCo1yqM)
