Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo iPad Portrait Mode Bracket
thingiverse
Ok so here's the reason for this bracket..! I wanted to mount both my iPads on a portrait mode to match the PFD and MFD some aircrafts have that are in the portrait position (CJ4 as an example). I found this bracket here on Thingiverse for an iPad Pro and I did a bit of editing by widening the gap to slide my iPad Air and raising the support in the back so it's more secure. I didn't raise the front lip because it works fine as it is. See the pictures to see how it works alongside the other brackets for the Honeycomb devices so you can use the iPad both orientations. The left/right brackets are here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4554130 Remember you can put the iPad in the upside-down portrait orientation and still plug a cable to charge it (a 90 degree one so it's not sticking out the top). Note: The bolts on the Bravo Quadrant are too short for them to reach the threads with the adapter (Alpha is ok). I didn't "sink in" the holes so you'd get a fully flat bolt when threaded in, and I did not decrease the thickness of the mount either. So you'll need the same length M4 bolt from the Alpha on the Bravo. You should be able to grab 2 of those at a local hardware store.
