Embedded materials within the .blend format bear straightforward naming conventions for hassle-free switching or modification as required. However, it's worth noting that applied materials may remain inaccessible unless Blender 2.79 or higher versions are being employed. Therefore, if unanticipated violet or black hues manifest on the model surface, users can alleviate this by updating their software suite. By default, the .blend file showcases a 2nd subdivision level active, with the corresponding modifier intact for subsequent tweaking at will. Conversely, obj and fbx formats contain uncomplicated standalone models, devoid of any applied subdivision for potential seamless imports into external applications of user's choice.
