Honey & Poppy's Low Poly Rabbit Light
prusaprinters

Meet Honey and Poppy, the inspiration for this lamp designed for my friend's new baby. Yes, loppy ears are hard to print and I wanted something without supports. Light source is a de-lidded Brilliant LED light with a standard ES base - that way all the smarts are dealt with already!

Print instructions

This was printed out in transparent PETG all with no supports; the base was experimentally printed out in different temperatures giving different texture lines (heights have a significance of the birth-date in cm).

Gyroid infill @ 25% was found to give the best interesting diffusion pattern with the LED source.

Base is positioned in line with the de-lidded lightsource and glued in place. V2 of my print was done easily by using some double-sided tape to position, then perimeter filling with epoxy glue.

Zip tie mains cables to base of box in order to give strain relief using the small holes.

You're dealing with mains voltage, so please double-check your wiring before turning on.
