This Vacuum is a low velocity vacuum system used to capture Honey Bees or other insects without killing them. This Honey Bee Vacuum can be used to capture swarms or remove bees from structures without killing.Vacuum uses 5 gallon (19 liter) plastic buckets and a bucket head wet/dry vacuum. Remove or tie-wrap vacuum tip-over cup to prevent stoppage of vacuum in horizontal orientation. A tool adapter (Powertec 70121V or equal) is used on the lid to attach the vacuum hose provided with the bucket head vacuum. Window screen is hot glued to the lid and one of the buckets. Duct tape can be used on the opening above the tool adapter to adjust the vacuum. An adjustable strap can be used to carry the vacuum on your shoulder. A plug assembly (made with rubber stopper) is inserted in the intake port of the bucket head wet/dry vacuum. Standoffs between the buckets are wood cut using a hole saw. Duct tape is wrapped around the gap between the buckets. Vacuum hose is not shown in model.
