Introducing "Honeboy," a DIY sharpening jig inspired by the term 'homeboy.' This innovative tool, designed for honing chisels and plane irons, offers multiple advantages over commercial products like Rockler's Honing Guide. Honeboy is 100% rustproof, more versatile, and features two wide-footprint helical-tread wheels for a stable and smooth ride. Its versatility allows sharpening of objects between 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches wide, with the option to reverse the clamp for smaller items. For larger objects, simply create a longer sliding dovetail. To complete your Honeboy, print two wheels, two snap-together axles or use bolts, two bodies (possibly re-tapping holes), one dovetail (with 3+ shells recommended), and attach thumb screws or bolts with thing 177400. A set-up sticker is also needed but isn't currently designed yet. Note that parts fit tightly for precise use, so some filing and fitting may be required.
