Honda Key Fob - Modified for keys with broken electronics
thingiverse
I need to insert the immobilizer chip directly into the key and position it very close to the metal key itself for the car to start successfully. While printing Sweatypalmer's key, I discovered that the electronics from my 2005 CR-V wouldn't fit inside the three-dimensionally printed key. My electronics are completely ruined, so I wasn't concerned about getting it to fit in the first place; however, without the electronics in place, the metal key simply slipped into the empty body of the key fob. To resolve this issue, I modified the back of the key fob with a large peg to keep the metal key securely in place.
