Honda Jazz (Fit) Folding Power Mirror Gear Fix
thingiverse
Updated design: The gear now has tapered and reinforced teeth, enabling it to be printed using a 0.25mm nozzle. Download V2.1 of the file for this improved version. Use at your own risk. This gear was designed to fix a mirror on a 2006 Jazz, as it is the only plastic gear in the assembly and had issues with cracking and worn shaft hole, which may also apply to models up to 2008. Instructions: The gear's teeth were designed for printing with a .35mm nozzle; however, some finishing work will be required. File between the teeth and shaft for a proper fit, ensuring the teeth are slightly longer to avoid binding in the assembly. Before connecting to the car, test the motor functionality using a battery, as it will shut off under resistance. The drive assembly is weather-sealed with heat glue; apply heat to ease separation if needed. I found this modification cost-effective and hope you do too!
