Honda Fit 2015 MAF Adapter for CAI/SRI
thingiverse
This is a custom adapter designed specifically for the 2015 Honda Fit's MAF sensor. Instead of completely replacing the stock airbox, this part replaces only the top section that houses the MAF sensor, saving you from cutting into your original airbox. The other end is engineered to fit standard-sized pod air filters perfectly, measuring three inches in length. To secure both ends, use 3-inch hose clamps and make sure the stock bolts fit snugly into these holes. I strongly advise against printing with PLA as it may cause a tight fit; however, if you insert the adapter into the filter and then carefully remove it once in place, it should function just like shown in the image. You won't need any extra couplers or gaskets since the tube that the top half of the airbox connects to has its own built-in seal. I printed this part using PETG and it has held up remarkably well after several months of use. I also reside in SoCal, which can be a challenging environment for 3D-printed parts. Edit 12/20/2020: After removing the adapter to clean the filter, I noticed that the narrower end had deformed significantly. To avoid this issue, simply tighten the hose clamp just enough so the gasket and adapter don't move excessively in relation to each other. I have also updated the design to strengthen the bolt holes, addressing a weakness found in previous versions (v3). With v4, you should be able to easily insert and remove the bolts before installation.
