This design for a Honda Elite 250 trip reset button was created from scratch. It serves as a direct replacement for Honda part number 37220-KM1-009, which can be notoriously difficult to find. As such, these buttons are an excellent candidate for three-dimensional printing. Printing at the optimal resolution of 100 microns will yield the best results, although even then, the finished product may not match the original part in terms of smoothness. The design was printed using ABS plastic to achieve a more weather-resistant finish, but printing high-resolution ABS can be challenging. To overcome this hurdle, we recommend printing four parts at once and placing them near the corners of the print bed. This allows each layer to cool before the next is applied, thereby preventing excessive heat from warping the small shaft. If you encounter difficulties with ABS printing, consider producing extra copies in PLA instead and swapping them out as needed.
