Honda CRF250L USB Charger Holder

Honda CRF250L (2013-2016) USB Holder ============== I wanted a USB charger that was not affixed to the handle bars, so I designed this, it mounts underneath the instrument panel (see below for more info). So far this has held up really well, and I've had no issues with 250mi of off road and about 500mi of on road riding. **Specifications** ---------- Mounting hole is 29.5mm diameter and will accomodate a charger aprox 40mm deep. This should work with most of the chargers available on amazon. It has two 'slots' that are 1.5mm in from the sides to prevent the charger from rotating. [Here](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charge-Charger-Socket-Voltmeter-Motorcycle/dp/B084S64LLR/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=12v%2Busb%2Bsocket&qid=1596873229&sr=8-8&th=1) is an example of one that should fit (Amazon Link) **Installation** --------- This is designed to be installed underneath the intrument panel. There are no modifications needed, however the rubber gromet between the panel and the mount needs to be removed, as does one of the cable clips. This is completelt reversible (just don't lose the orignal parts!) You will need a M5/M6 bolt to go in the hole above where the instrument panel mounts (see photos) You will need to remove the headlight in order to easily get at the instrument panel. There are three screws underneath it, left, right and top (towards the front of the bike). These need to come out and then the instrument panel can be pulled upwards (away from the bike). It has one plug connecting it, disconnect this and put the panel aside. You then need to remove the rubber mount from the right hand side (looking from where you'd sit) and install the holder. It will slide in to where the gromet was, and the smaller hole will be where the cable clip was. You can then install the bolt to hold it in place. Once installed, if you intend to wire it on the ignition circut as I did (so you can't accidentally drain your battery) its easier to do this with the instrument panel still off. I won't cover wiring in detail here (see [here](https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwmYWlzMWkPhcHk3ZF81ejR6LWs/edit?pli=1) for a wiring diagram of the bike), but I used the black/red wire from the ignition plug as a 12v source, and used a bolt in the headstock as a ground. If you intend to run many/high current devices switched from the ignition, use a relay. However for this its unnecessary. Once wired, re-install the instrument panel and replace the headlight.
