I made an adapter so I can use a 10$ off the shelf Wix air filter instead of paying for the overpriced ones on the internet and having to wait. Both WIX 42036 and WIX 42305 will work for this application. The 42036 is 3/4" longer than stock, but still fits the stock airbox as you can see in pictures. 42305 is the exact same size. Works for sure on HA3/4 and HH3/4, will be to test on other generations. I used the 42036 since it was cheaper and readily available. I decided to remove the hot air duct to make more room for the filter, for the 42305 you will not have to do this. Then, remove the rubber washer from the stock air filter to install on the new adapter and it will be ready for install. I recommend using PETG, ABS or any temp resisting material for this print. No supports needed if your printer has good bridging abilities when printed in 0.2mm layer height. The bridging material can then be removed from the hole for installation. Please note that I have not tested the 42305 adapter, I used the theorical dimensions from Wix. If anything is off, just tell me and I will correct it.
