Human: Homo erectus Location: Sangiran, Java, Indonesia. Age: 0.7-1.6 million years ago. Material: epoxy resin cast. Dimensions: length, 174 mm; width, 139 mm; height, 103 mm. Notes: RLA catalog no. 2501.1rp32 (cast). Fossil discovered in 1937 by G.H.R. von Koenigswald. Cranium. Originally classified as Pithecanthropus erectus (Sangiran 2). Cast made by the Wenner-Gren Foundation Casting Program at the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania.
