Homesteaders Insert

thingiverse

This is my custom insert for the game Homesteaders, complete with the New Beginnings expansion. I'm always open to constructive criticism or suggestions for improvement - feel free to comment! I designed this using the 10th anniversary edition of the game, which should also work with the first edition since the pieces are the same size as far as I can tell. The design is straightforward: just a few large boxes for the bits in the game and some smaller ones to organize the tiles. For the bits, the bit box has more than enough space to hold both the larger 5-size bits and the standard bits - it's not necessary for gameplay but if you're like me and prefer having them included, go ahead! For the tile boxes, here's how I arranged them: Tile Box 1: Store Player tiles/Reference tiles | Auction 1 | Auction 2 | Auction 3 | Auction 4 Tile Box 2: Place Settlement Tiles | Settlement/Town | Town | City | New Beginnings (all tiles) I made an educated guess about the space needed for sleeved cards and provided a separate insert for them. Since I don't typically sleeve my own cards, I haven't tested it - if you'd like to provide me with dimensions on your cards, I can double-check the box size for you. As always, I've designed this insert so that it lies flush with the lid when all components are in place. The shake test was a breeze, so the insert will allow for storage on its side without any issues. For printing, follow the screenshot I posted in the pictures - it includes details on how many STLs to print, estimated cost, and time required.
