Homer at the Louvre, Paris, France
myminifactory
This stunning white marble sculpture was created by the talented Philippe-Laurent Roland, a native of Pont-à-Marcq in Nord, France. Unfortunately, he passed away in Paris, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful neoclassical art that continues to inspire us today. A master of his craft, Roland worked extensively with stone and terra cotta, producing intricate reliefs that are truly breathtaking. Many of these masterpieces can be seen on the iconic facade of the Louvre Museum. This incredible sculpture is part of "Scan The World," a groundbreaking non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. Through this project, we're working tirelessly to build a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the world that are available for free to the public. Scan The World is an open-source community effort, and we invite you to join us in creating this vast repository of cultural treasures.
