This is a 3D model of Homer Simpson eating a doughnut, created using Solidworks software. It's a 2D representation of the picture below. Overview and Background Solidworks Lesson Plan and Activity Project 3: 2-D Art Design Challenge Problem Statement: With a partner, design a “2D” placard using Solidworks. Both partners will have the same design that meets the constraints below, and each person will use Solidworks to create their own design. Constraints: No error messages should be displayed. The part must be centered about the origin. Efficient use of construction lines is required. Automatic and manual relations should be used efficiently. Smart Dimensions should be used effectively. Project Requirements: You and your partner need to develop a plan for recreating your figure together. Each person will draw a 1x scale front view of their design. Each drawing must include all dimensions and reference lines used. A bulleted/numbered list of the order you will create your sketch should be updated as you work through completing your design. This plan must be approved before starting to make your figure in Solidworks. Once you begin creating your models, you and your partner must work together at the same pace. Do not move on to the next step until you've checked in with your partner and both are ready to proceed to the next step. Each person should submit their completed Solidworks file at the end of the project.
