I'm super excited for the HomePod and I can barely wait for it to hit stores! To pass the time, I created my own mock-up so I could get an idea of what it will be like. Since I already have two Ultimate UE Boom 1 & 2 speakers, I designed this replica to fit them inside, allowing me to pretend I've got one until Christmas arrives. This model consists of three parts: the main body (apologies for the large file size - a lot of geometry was needed to achieve the weave effect), the adapter piece that fits around the Boom's base, and a top section with a logo (unfortunately, no screen on top). Please feel free to share your own experiences once you've had a chance to get your hands on this revolutionary new product at the Apple Store. One more thing - make sure to print it at 110% to ensure that the Boom fits snugly inside; printing at 100% would result in a model slightly smaller than the actual device, give or take a millimeter or two.
