HomePod Bracket
thingiverse
A prototype wall bracket designed specifically for the Apple HomePod is currently under development. This particular version remains experimental, particularly concerning the wall fixings, so users should exercise caution when creating their own versions. The absence of any built-in fixings on the HomePod necessitates reliance on gravity to maintain its position. Only time will tell if this approach was indeed a wise decision. Update 11th June 2018 The original bracket has demonstrated remarkable durability thus far, with the HomePod remaining securely in place and the wall fittings functioning adequately. This updated version is being re-uploaded following an unexpected issue where the original file became corrupted and failed to slice properly. Thankfully, users reported this problem, allowing for a corrected upload. To ensure compatibility, I have thoroughly tested this revised version to confirm its ability to slice correctly. Additionally, I made minor adjustments to the wall plate due to its extremely tight fit. If you encounter issues with the printed bracket being too loose, kindly notify me so that I can provide an updated version for download. Update 16th June 2019 To enhance user customization, I am adding the 123dx file, enabling users to modify the design as needed. Although 123D is no longer widely used, I am comfortable working within its framework and understand its capabilities. As an old hand with a preference for familiar tools, I appreciate your understanding if I seem resistant to change.
