This part is designed to sit atop an Ikea Not uplight, transforming it into a pedestal for the Apple HomePod. For further information on modifying the Ikea Not uplight, please refer to that thread, which is relatively straightforward. I added this part to allow sound from the tweeters to resonate against a surface, just as it would when placed directly on a flat surface.
