I placed a grove for the feature that is cast in the upper housing. I also super saturated the foam filter with an aerosol filter oil I found laying around the garage. *************************************************************************** Update 20201124 As per request, I finally figured our how to modify the honeycomb. I changed the size to increase the airflow through the filter basket. I have not tested version 5, but version 4 is tested and working. Please test version 5 and report back. ************************************************************************** Update 20201118 The new improved version 4 is out!! Well, version 3 fit the saw, but there is a feature on the top plate that keeps it from fitting with the air filter installed. I redesigned this using a honeycomb on the bottom instead of large square holes. The new holes should be in the correct place to allow fitment of the top plate with the choke controls. Many thanks to MARK STEPHENS!! I pretty much stole his honeycomb example from the FreeCAD forums, so attribution is due. I tried to recreate his example, without success, so in the end I just used his honeycomb FreeCAD file as the starting point of this design. I designed this using FreeCAD v0.18 Friction is used to hold the foam in the assembly. This part was designed per request on the House of Homelite forum.
