Design and build your own blade server with printable components! This innovative concept allows for a modular, stackable case that can be secured together for easy movement. Each case requires 16 printed pieces, fitting within a 14cm x 14cm print bed; larger prints may allow for outsourcing of certain parts. Assembly is simple with nylon ties holding everything together. The blade server accommodates Mini-ITX motherboards and can be pulled out individually for maintenance. Extensions include 2.5" HDD mounts and fan mounts, while a collection has been created to gather any additional enhancements. Instructions are included in the sketch-up file, along with an exploded diagram for assembly guidance. Be prepared for a time investment of approximately a month of Sundays if printing continuously. Outer walls significantly improve structural integrity, and PVA glue can be used for added stability. Case modders are encouraged to customize this design, with the creator eager to see the results!
