Roof rainwater is naturally pure; however, it's crucial to filter out impurities like leaves, droppings, and dust before storage. A user-friendly filtration system can be designed using downpipes. These vertical pipes, installed on walls and connected to a rooftop via an elbow, collect rainwater. A drain valve at the bottom allows for bypassing first rainwater with heavy impurities or excessive water. The filter body is 3D printed for support and can be made of either a coarse filter or a fine filter with active carbon, the latter being ideal for removing organic constituents and residual disinfectants. An outlet with a 60mm Tee joint allows filtered water to flow out effortlessly, utilizing gravity force without electricity requirements, ensuring ease in maintenance and durability.
