Home Sweet Home

The spark for creating a three-dimensional print of a building originated from my own home. By leveraging photographs I took myself combined with images sourced from Google Earth, I successfully produced a miniature replica. The utilization of Google Earth enabled me to capture a bird's-eye view, thereby allowing me to define the foundation and fundamental shape of my house. To initiate the process, I imported my canvases into Fusion 360. From there, I sketched my home using the rectangle and line tools, which were then extruded upwards, accompanied by the addition of a chimney and roofs. Subsequently, I created sketches for windows, doors, and a skylight utilizing the line and rectangle tools. Once all sketching was completed, I extruded the windows, doors, slider, and skylight inwards to varying heights, thereby imparting dimension and depth to the structure. I even filleted the doorknobs to enhance their realism. Ultimately, my design was uploaded to Cura, scaled accurately, and dispatched to the printers for production.
