Home plastic shredder designed for recycling printed parts or granulating plastic waste is now a reality. A working prototype is ready and functioning properly. Further details about this project will be shared soon on www.3dmakerplace.de. I'm planning to assemble a set of components that can be made available at reasonable prices if there's enough interest. Most of the necessary parts can be printed in-house using materials like glass fiber reinforced PLA, but some components require steel production. This will help determine if there's sufficient demand for this product. Once I have a better understanding of the market, I'll provide you with information about the cost of metal components needed to build your own plastic shredder.
