Home Depot Bucket Funnel
prusaprinters

This creates a funnel inside of a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket to route dry material down to a hole in the center of the bottom.

It's not a complete solution on its own, and is the first step in a DIY salt spreader that I'm working on, but it could be adapted for seeds, dry food, or the like.

In the future, hope to have a shaft going down the middle with a spreader plate spun by a 18V drill or similar. There also needs to be a gate or valve to control the flow of salt. Unlike commercial seed/salt spreaders I plan to just carry it instead of using wheels. Some kind of legs will be required to keep the spreader plate from hitting the ground.

Maybe I'll never complete it, I don't know, but this is a first step that you might be able to use for something else.

The 4 quarters fit pretty snugly, but builders adhesive or caulking might be a good idea for the finished project.

FreeCad 0.18 source is included.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

CR-10S

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

No

Resolution:

Wall thickness 1mm or greater. It will print without any infill, or very little.
These take rather long to print and the quality isn't that critical, so push the limits on layer height and speed. I was able to print 2 at a time but each set took nearly a day.

Category: Outdoor & Garden
