The human body is made up of many different systems that work together to keep us alive and functioning properly. The circulatory system, which includes the heart, arteries, veins, and blood vessels, helps to transport oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body. The nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, allows us to think, learn, and control our movements. The digestive system, which includes the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine, helps to break down food into energy that can be used by the body. The skeletal system, which includes the bones of the skeleton, provides a framework for the body and allows us to move around. The muscular system, which includes all of the muscles in the body, helps to support the skeleton and allow for movement.
