Holy Spirit Flame Dove

Holy Spirit Flame Dove

I stumbled upon this design about 50 years ago and have been reworking it ever since into unique wood carvings as personal gifts. It can easily be turned into a fantastic keychain or even used as a functional fridge magnet, not to mention being kept as a treasured memento. The inspiration behind it stems from the Holy Spirit's representation as a dove that gently landed on Jesus following his baptism in water. Interestingly, it also shares an uncanny resemblance with the fiery tongue of flame seen by the 120 followers of Jesus gathered together in an upper room (all of this referenced within the New Testament Bible). If you look at it from another angle, you can even notice its surprising similarity to an angel fish. I've worked on crafting these designs using various materials, including leather. In fact, the one featured here was designed right within Tinkercad. I also included a file for creating a pendant with a pre-made hole in place. I experimented with reducing its thickness by half and ended up printing two separate ones – one in red, another in white – and then attached them together simply to observe their stunning colour effect. I hope you'll find this fascinating!
