Mounting your Hololens without damage or modification is made possible by these specially designed parts. They fit snugly into the slots on either side with a friction that's hard to budge. I attached a modified motorcycle helmet visor to mine, allowing us to use the Hololens outdoors even in bright sunlight. The sides and top of these parts are flat and substantial enough that you can simply drill a hole where needed and screw in place. I 3D printed this model using ABS material with an outer shell thickness of 1.2mm and 30% infill, resulting in plenty of substance for screws to grip firmly into.
