Hollow Tippe Top

Hollow Tippe Top

thingiverse

In my pursuit of the largest printable Tippe Top, I created a hollow design that uses less material than the original. This model consists of two halves that click together, and could potentially be printed as one piece with stereolithography. The small, hollow Tippe Tops are available at science museums for cheap, while the larger version requires shortening the stem for proper tipping if increased in size. Alternative files include bottom and top parts on one plate for printing in one go, or a vertically cut version that may not need support during printing. However, note that I have yet to test the large version.
