Hollow Knight Mini Fig

For the past month, I've been completely captivated by Hollow Knight (admittedly, a bit late to the party), an incredible 2D Metroidvania developed by Team Cherry, and after only 15 minutes of gazing at our tiny silent hero, I exclaimed to myself, "I'm hooked!" The charming design of this little knight had won me over without warning, so I decided that I simply had to create a 3D print so I could proudly display it on my desk. Fortunately, the overall design of the character is relatively straightforward to recreate, and with just a few references for scale and shape, I got started. I opted to manufacture each part separately in its intended color and assemble them later, with only one post-printing step necessary: painting the black eyes. My first print had two minor flaws - the neck was too short, and the sword hole wasn't big enough. The hole was easily corrected using a Dremel tool and the smallest available mill bit. While the neck was still usable as is, I ultimately enlarged it to ensure a better fit for the head. I sent the file to be printed at a local shop, so I don't recall the exact printing time or settings used, but I do know that the sword and cape were printed on rafts - an important note to keep in mind when working with this design. In the end, the credit for creating such an amazing game goes to Team Cherry, who have crafted a beautiful world and stunning art. I merely created a model of the character and hold no rights or ownership over it. I hope you enjoy this 3D print!
