Hollow Bronchoscopy Trainer

Hollow Bronchoscopy Trainer

thingiverse

Here is a hollow anatomical model of a bronchial tree, down to tertiary bronchi, carefully segmented from anonymized patient DICOM data. This detailed model can be three-dimensionally printed for use as a valuable training tool in bronchoscopy or other medical educational purposes. We have achieved the most impressive results by printing this model in flexible resin on the Formlabs Form 2 SLA printer, but we are also eager to explore its outcome on other machines. Printing in ABS on an FDM printer also produces a reasonable end product, although supports in the tertiary bronchi may limit its use. We have also successfully created this model using Ninjaflex and Filaflex, but stranding of the flexible filament in the lumen of the model also limits its effectiveness. Recommended scaling: - 100% for adult females - 120% for adult males Please take a picture of the final result and share it with us!
