This is the most intricate part I've ever designed, with numerous separate pieces of geometry that must fit together perfectly in order to produce a printable model. At first glance, it may seem relatively straightforward, but closer inspection reveals the complexity involved in making all these elements mesh just right. The original concept was actually inspired by an architect who envisioned a building composed of multiple curved levels. I made several modifications to this basic design until I arrived at this version. It took 19 hours and 20 minutes to print using a layer height of 0.200 mm and a print speed of 80 mm/sec. The lamp is designed specifically for use with an LED "puck" light. Battery-operated lights can be found online for about $4 each; simply conduct a web search for "LED puck light" to discover several sources.
