Holed Christmas Ornament

This Christmas tree ornament features a spherical design with 198 hypocycloid holes shaped like stars. It's related to the holed container in Two Spherical Containers, thing:32840. Two STL files are available - 200_stars.stl and 200_stars_with_support.stl, along with an openSCAD file for generating them. However, the user encountered difficulties in printing 200_stars.stl using ReplicatorG due to its requirement of support and the intricate hole patterns. The problem was resolved by opting for 200_stars_with_support.stl which comes with built-in support. After printing, removing support is simple - just peel it off at the corners. The ornament is designed to be printed on a raft and, depending on the printer used (Replicator in this case), settings of 3 shells, 10% infill, 70mm diameter, and about 16g weight per piece were used. The openSCAD code takes a while to execute, and the printing time with support is approximately 3 hours, but it guarantees a smooth base finish for your unique star-studded ornament.
