Hole Saw Jig

A 3D printable jig makes a difficult task easy to accomplish when enlarging an existing circular saw cut. Measure the internal diameter of your hole saw part, ensuring it fits snugly. Measure the depth of your hole saw part and add 10 mm for a reliable guide. Measure the diameter of the existing circular hole; it should fit securely but not too tightly. Enter these measurements into the included SCAD or Fusion files. Print the jig according to your design specifications. Insert the jig into the hole saw piece, allowing it to sit in place without needing bolts. It will act as a guide to align everything properly. The jig I used successfully cut six holes. During one of the cuts, on hole four, the drill jumped unexpectedly and caused the top of the jig to snap. Since no reprinting was necessary, I simply used the snapped portion as a spacer. Place it in the hole saw first, then slide the jig back into position so it sits on top of the spacer. This allows you to continue without losing the overall height of the jig. https://youtu.be/UX8JNwIaYnk
